Two new problems.. 1) cant save graphics settings 2) dual monitor game opens up on both screens...

I am about 2 hours into a new game and on a new save and launch I have run into 2 problems.

1 is that my graphics settings wont save so no idea whats wrong there..perhaps corrupt file somewhere ...

2 ... I have dual monitors.. previously it opened on my main monitor no problem, on the new launch it opens on the main monitor then when pressing load game, it opens on both monitors .. becomes frozen on the main monitor and playable on the secondary monitor...

I have no issues with any other application opening on my screens, this appears specific to noma nssky.... any ideas?

I have update my graphics card drivers to latest version since I ran into the problem(given it was working previously on the old version this I believe is unrelated)...

Have you tried validating your files? Ask me if unfamiliar.

I run a dual screen setup. Have you checked under display settings (on your desktop) to make sure it's set to extend as opposed to duplicate? Some driver updates alter this.

tks yes checked that incase it had reverted for some reason ...this happened after I relaunched the game after playing for two hours, everything remains the same as it was prior to ending the game after two hours.

It doesnt happen with any other application or game only No Mans Sky. Its not stopping me playing just weird it opens up on my 2nd monitor now.

Perhaps something wrong with the config file as its not saving my settings either. Maybe Ill delete it and relaunch to see if it reverts.

so today it reverted back ... is it still such a buggy game like this? Anyway its working properly again go figure!

May or may not be the game. I haven't had that problem.

Lately, I had all my desktop stuff shift to my second monitor, 1st monitor stayed primary. Couple months later, 1/3 went back to the 1st monitor and now they are all back to the 1st. It's like all on my desktop had a walk-about. win 8.1, btw.

I just had the same problem. Came up with a quick fix: in Display Settings, scroll down to Multiple Displays and select "Show only on X" where X is your preferred monitor. Boot up No Man's Sky, alt-tab, then go back to Display Settings and change back to Extend these dislpays
