Can't place medium refiner?

Attempting to place it on a wooden floor with more than enough space, I have all required mats

The refiners are tall, you may have to add a second floor to get it to set. If you have them, the long thin pieces do the trick. If not, you just have a spacious ceiling area.

Is it on the ground floor? Certain tech is having issues being placed on the ground floor of buildings.

it was in the ground floor that i was attempting how i managed to get it to place was building a cuboid room on top of the wooden floor and the snap appeared so now i have a medium refiner inside a tiny room but i'll try placing it on a woden floor on another level

it seems they can only be placed in buildings with snap points

You need to build a circular room. You buy the blue print on the anomaly. At least that's what I had to do.

thanks i had that mission backlogged for a while! i havent found MY world, so i havent buildt that many structures really

You can place it inside cuboid rooms and the other prefab. Not on freighter or free builds.
