No option to build signal booster

Hi all,

After having the huge problem, dass my NEXT base was "relocated" into the ground after the patch, I started new game.
Now I have the problem that I am unable to build a signal booster. No recipe, nothing. What should I do? Any suggestions?

You need to learn how to build it now by researching it from blueprint machine.

SIgnal booster doesn't seem to take navdata anyway.

It doesnt, NOR does it find the things it used to. Its been downgraded to finding nearby structures or finding drop pods.

Is this also new since BEYOND? in NEXT the signal booster was the first item I could create...Weird...
I thought I could use it to find a good position for my new base.

Most of the signal booster functions have been moved to planetary system charts (or similar name). Available for purchase/trade in nav data for on the Nexus.. or can sometimes be found through exploring..

I am through the entire main quest and need to find portals but it won't let me build Signal Boosters?
It says available to build 0; but I have the checkmark?

Do you have all the required components? That's the only thing that come to my mind: it can be build pretty much anywhere on a planet surface and doesn't require a base.


Edit: Now that I think of it the quest marker should point to a portal. I never had to use the signal booster to find one (and it's a good idea to drop a base computer near for later use).

You get the blueprint for the signal booster very early in the game, so early that I can't even remember...Play the Game by following tutorial missions and it will not take long until you have the blueprint.

I think the BP is also available in the archive terminal.

I have the BP, It just says "0 Available to Build".

then you probably have another signal booster standing somewhere nearby, because then you can not build more.

Uff. I think I build one on a planet ges ago. How do I find that?

Sorry but: you have the BP? Launch your build menu with Y, go look what materials you need to build the SB and do it please. You can have 10 SBs if you want and pick them all up as long as you have inventory space, and it doesn't matter if you leave one behind.

you can only have one out, you get an error, (only one allowed in local area), just checked it in my game.

and you open the build menu with Z, and not Y

All components are checked with a green checkmark, but it still says available to build: 0.
It does so with almost everything I want to build, except the Computer and the Communication Station.
