It seems to be broken with the update. I had 5 landing pads pre-beyond. Logged in and only 3 survived. It has new attachment visuals, but they wouldn't work for me, so I tried to remove and replace the pad, and it won't attach to anything anymore. Needs to be addressed in a bug fix.

when you place the pad first, you can attach a building to it.. but you cant attach the pad to a existing building.. i hope thats a bug

Try placing the landing pad at a small distance, then connecting a walkway from it to the base structure.

the lineup has to be perfect then :D also im building on the water.. so its hard to do that without having to build dirt under it

i just hope that this is not intendet and just a bug

Same for me, too ... Will have to wait for next update, then.

if you place a landing pad first you can still connect to it but that's obviously not ideal.

I had to walk pretty far out from the spot I wanted to snap to, before it saw it as a valid snap point. However, the doorway the landing pad creates does not line up with the doorway wall it snaps to - so you cant walk through it because the opening is too small... =\

Same problem.
Buiding "bass ackwards" (placing the pad first, then attaching structures) doesn't work either. Large corridors attach far too low, so you cannot get through the door.
Cuboid rooms attach at the proper height, but leave a small step that you need to jump over every time.

I saw elsewhere someone put 4 - 6 foundations out then pad connected.

The space from pad to door is alot bigger too. This walkway area, full width of pad's side, then a door. Just hold up a wall panel on edge of pad to see..

I struggled a good fifteen minutes with that but I managed to place it where I wanted (water base too). Had to go far away and then fight with the very bad view to try and place it with hope it was the right room. Ended up succeeding but what an unfun mess landpads are for now ^^v (attached to a cuboid room)

I can't get the pad to function: there is no blue or green circle when I approach it and I can't land manually either.
I can't find any information anywhere to understand why it's not working. It doesn't seems like it's missing power.

Do you have to "connect" it with a corridor for it to function ?
I don't use the cylindrical or cuboid base modules, I'm only using basic walls atm. Should I invest in pre-build modules instead ?

I just created a door on the side of my building and used the Basic flooring panels to make a huge area to place a landing pad. It actually looks quite good. But I was quite annoyed about the change until I figured this out.
