Where are sentinels?
Prior to the patch (I bought a game on GOG 2 days before release of Beyond) I kept stumbling upon sentinels. And now when I actually have to kill them for materials I can't find a single one. Any suggestions?

Patch seems to be pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥, best way I can tell you to get sentinel kills is to raid a depot, steal gravitino orbs, or something that forces sentinels to spawn

Planets have a more balanced occurrence now. Like you said, before the update they could be found pretty much everywhere, but now after the update, some planets of little to no sentinels, and some of a lot, their aggression seems to have a greater range as well.

You just have to find planets have a lot of sentinels.

I doubt that the games would force me pretty much at the very beggining to fly into places I can't really get to (I don't even have any tech that is unlocked through quests). plus - 30 mins of searching should spawn at least one, doesn't matter what planet I'm on.

you need to start mining to increase the chance of encountering them

The game is forcing you to find sentinels? At the beginning? That doesn't sound right. And no, open your scanner and look at the bottom left corner, it tells you about the planet, such as type of planet, flora and fauna amounts, sentinel amount, and sentinel "temper". Some planets have no sentinels, and I'm pretty sure the entire starting solar system doesn't have any what-so-ever.

Attacking a barricaded base should raise the alarm and attract a few sentinels.

does that no longer work? For the longest if you could find a spawn point and make a building you could trap on in your home as a 'pet'

It still works. I started off on a permadeath save on a no sentinels paradise planet and when I got to the armorers quest the sentinels that spawned did so inside my base. The thing is that you can now shoot inside your base and if you shoot sentinels inside your base they shoot back.

Isn't necromancy unholy by definition?
All the sentinels went to Capitol Hill in the USA. They'll be back here in game tomorrow.

You can trap the hovering sentinels underground or inside rooms using doors and locks. If there is one left it will buzz around and most likely not call reinforcements if it is still 'live'.
