Has anybody gotten vr looking/performing well with a gtx 1070
My specs are gtx 1070, 16 gb ram, i7-6700k, windows 10. Using original vive.

Is the game suppose to look this blurry and have this amount of performance issues. I can't imagine if my specs are to blame at all, expecially since other vr games run really well. Any radical tips to get it working. Bugs?

I have a similar set up, but I'm running an I5 with and an index. Changing the graphics settings to standard helped the performance, less reprojections
Yeah, I might have to lower down from enhanced to standard until Hello Games releases performance fixes for vr. Right now I just want to figure out how to get it less blurry. Turning off anti aliasing helps, but then everything is incredibly jaggy. Is there any way to sharpen up the image without using anti aliasing?
in short joseph, nope not atm. taa is bugged so thats why its blurry and fxaa sucks. better to leave it off but you will have jagged edges. ik theyre trying to fix it, but thats it. sorry bro
yes i had to restart and setup my vr with oculus. mine is working great. i do not know what everyone is saying they got no right hand and all. gone into controls turned on smooth on turning and moving and disabled that blur. and now it looks great...... running a gtx 1060 oc
Well, I at least feel better that it isn't on my end lol. Hopefully they improve vr in future patches. I'm going to try fiddling around with settings till I get it working decently. I'll just have my creative mode file for vr purposes. No way am I going to start a new game in vr right now.

How did you disable the blur?
I run it with a GTX 1070ti 8 GB and an AMD FX8350 4 Ghz 8 core processor and 16 GB ram on 2400 Mhz and i have set the v-sync in NVidia to OFF and i have set the max. framerate in game to 90, on high i can play the game in VR just fine. Also in the game settings i turned down the blur to 0 because i don't like that. Maybe i can even set the overall quality a bit higher now it runs better, i had it on ultra before but that was also before i updated the NVidia driver and before i had set all the other settings so, i have no problems at the moment but it could be even better with the next few fixes/patches so, it was not that bad at all :)

downloading now, thats encouraging news for my RTX 2080, I kinda figured this kind of settings fenagling would be needed just getting this game to run at all in vr is amazing considering how much it chugged day one in 2016 with signifigantly worse visuals, just hope a few hotfixes is all we need to get sorted as even the psvr seems to have no problem handling it.
go to the tab in vr where you turn on smooth turning under that it says something i forgot what it was. i am not in game. but it says enabled disable that. ill go back into game and look at the name in a fuw mins here
no
i don't have 1070
and VR

so it's not performing well i guess
also there fixing all the bugs in game in exspermental. of you where in that. eather go back to it and play it. or start new game. the save files well miss with your vr game.
go into controll options and desable vignette to take out blur
Like others said, it looked REALLY rough for me until I dropped settings down and restarted
Dropped settings down but didn't really change anything for me -- stutter and reprojections
