Report a translation problem
to be fair, those walls are on a planet so they're tecchnically not space proff... nor do they need to be.
Did you happen to build this base while playing multiplayer with someone else?
If you build base components on a lobby not being run by you any changes you make to the terrain are not saved with the base. Only the base components and their location. No idea if that's working as intended, or a bug, but that's the way it is.
In the future, just remove the offending base pieces, use the terrain manipulator, and put the piece back since you get all the resources from removing anything while in range of your base computer.

It's all the more odd when i can be on a landing pad on the ground with a predator practically in my face, and receive no damage as the run around in front of me. huh?
