Stuck with story at base computer
So ive got my base computer and a base, got an overseer etc. finally figured out I need to interact with the base computer to get the blueprint analyzer, built it and got some blueprints using the many salvaged technologies I have. I thought I was now supposed to interact with the base computer again for a distress signal but interacting with the base computer only lets me edit things about my base and doesnt continue the story. The quest tells me to interact with it to learn more, but interacting with it simply putting it, does nothing to help.

Anyone got any way to sort this out? Only things I can find is something about it being a bug with your freighter but I dont have one...

One of HG's little quirks at work. As soon as you built the base computer, the game generated two missions. One is the Awakenings storyline and the other is the base-building series. The problem (from my perspective) is that the game defaults to the most recently added one as the active mission and that'a the base-building series. To get back to Awakenings, go into your mission log (P if you're on PC) and select Awakenings as the active mission and you should be back on track.

it is selected as my active mission, my base computer simply refuses to progress the story line.

Wait a second, now it wants me to find technology stuff in the ground again. Maybe I just have to re-do that and spend more in the blueprints to get it back on track. I'll try that.

After the base computer, the game will ask you to build a blueprint analyzer. Then you'll need to go dig up some salvaged tech. It doesn't matter if you already have some, it will still want you to go dig up some (it's a tutorial).

yes, it seems I did everything before the tutorial asked me to.

That is why I want that mission flagged for players that have already done it so they don't have to do it every time they do another play through. There are other ways to progress the game without locking the player to a redundant fetch quest.

Its not a bad quest or writing but its not anything I'd care to experience again anytime soon.

I think the quest should be able to detect when someone has already done something, and then skip onto the next section etc. because if you do something before a quest tells you to, you have to do it again and tis slightly annoying!

You also have to built the Terrain Manipulator, I found a Multi Tool that already had one and had to scrap it and build it again in one play through.
