Is this game still a meme?

I would like to try this game,I like open world genre.What stops me is how infamous this title is.
Anytime on twitch theres some new terrible game everybody is mocking,we can always see countless "still better than NMS LUL" spammed in chat.So how it really is now for all you that currently playing?

it was never a meme, just a lot of people were disappointed at launch, which was now 3 years ago.

there is now far far more content than was ever promised in the original launch, and a new major update coming next week.

the game is also half off on steam right now, at $30 it's a steal.

i cant tell you if you will like it or not, but lots of people love it, it is not for everyone certainly.

even if you dont get thousands of hours out of it like some people, i doubt you'll regret buying, unless you're specifically looking for something that this game is not.

It's a fine title. There's plenty to explore, quests to complete, aliens to meet, ships, freighters, and frigates to acquire, and everything to scan and claim. If you enjoy just going out and seeing the universe, or finding a cozy place to settle down, then you'll likely enjoy the game. Just know the game is more about exploration and discovery than it is about combat.

It's currently on sale for half off, which I think is a great price for the game. Couple that with the Beyond update coming out in 6 days, and you're sure to have a game well worth its price and worthy of your time.

Everyone's a critic. Try it out for yourself. It's open-ended gameplay, not for everyone, because you have to choose your own goals and playstyle. After you finish the quest "Awakenings".

By the way, the gaming community is fixing to get a lot bigger here. This week.

The community is still filled with die hard fan boys that will attack any negative critism, no matter how small it might be "or their trolls such as davidb". So this part of no mans sky has not changed since the annoucement of the game.

The game on the other hand is ok, It may be worth playing for around 30-60 hours with all of the improvements but after that its a rense and repeat cycle of resource gathering.

I would buy it for 30$, but not for 60$.

I see people popping up to trash talk the game, HG or SM anytime NMS gets press ahead of an update or announcement. It usually dies down shortly after, but yeah it does happen. People just love to sh!t on things these days even if there's no logical reason to do so.

It's 29.99 right now and will be for almost 2 weeks. Also those "die hard fan boys" are the ones that stuck it out and are the main reason the games still around and being improved upon, so have some respect.

Well, some animals are still like that, with weird bodies 'n' whatnot, but if you can look past that, there's plenty to enjoy about the game.

Worth it. Initially, it wasn't, but the updates have turned this into the game I hoped it would be at launch. Log in, get on, and wander to your heart's content. There is so much to see and do that you won't even really worry about money if you don't want to. It is worth $60, easily— I'm the kind of person that just wants to get on, and wander without having to worry about the typical pressures in most games.

See new and distant planets!
Build amazing bases!
Catalog, mine, and farm!
Or fight pirates in space!

Personally, I'm a language hunter, and this game is keeping me coming back... I just have to figure out how to make this work since the update. v.v;
