How is the learning curve of this game?

I just bought this game, only fooled around a bit for 5 minutes as I didn't have time yet to commit myself fully to it. My impression is that its complex.
How difficult really is it too understand this game?

In a lot of games there is pride in playing on hard difficulty/or just a game that is hard to complete. Entire series like Dark Souls is based on this. People will always show more respect towards players who can do something that is more difficult. Doing something not everyone could do easily or at all. Same with NMS, people playing on normal are shown no respect. They are like the grunts of NMS. Players on creative are the biggest victims as most players only laugh at them. If I were playing creative I would never ever mention it to anyone. Considering you are at that level, I would advise you to just remove your replies and hope people never saw them...lol.

Hardest part of the game is inventory management. Second hardest is getting just the right freighter skin. Combat and survival are trivial tasks when compared to drowning in resources that are spread over several inventories as you cruise round in a crusty looking tub.

Finding that perfect S Class would make more respect in my opinion than any permadeath mode lol

Perma death wouldnt be hard, i havent died yet on survival and thats harder. perma death will be set to easy mode without a save option thats all, and i cant be bothered to go all that way to the centre just for am achievement , not after doing it on normal and almost there again on survival mode. i might not even bother finishing survival and just start new when update drops.

It's not broken you just need to do another one of the quests. Although it doesn't help much it's either one of the main quests or the scientists or overseer/base quests.

you get that after you complete for the scientist and get the blue print for circuit board, You then make (or buy) 2 circuit boards and hand them in to the overseer, job done
