As it stands now, 99% of the real estate in the game is just empty void conservatively sprinkled with asteroids. Lets see some shipwrecks, structures, starbases on giant asteroids, etc. Make space interesting enough that you don't treat it like a loading screen from planet to planet.
There are literally only 11 biome types in the game, if you've seen one of them, you've seen all of that type. Conversely, there are up to 20 biomes just on Earth depending on how you define them...
Anyway, with only 11 biomes and 18quintillion planets, it is literally possible to find a planet that is exactly the same as one you've already seen, possible, but still unlikely. Because this is computer generated, it is possible that all the numbers will align to make a duplicate planet quite often. Computers can't actually do random no matter how hard we try.
I applaud the devs for the work they do, but diversity in world types, conditions, and biomes would be appreciated. New races are needed too, just 4 in the universe? lol They don't all need a story element, we just want better diversity, maybe some races that aren't so religious?...
