How would this game run on GT 1030 graphics card?
I have a great pc with good CPU (i5-7400), 8gb of ram and plency of space. The only problem is my graphics card (nvidia gt 1030). I can run PUBG on 50-60 fps, Rainbow six siege on 110 fps, Rust on 70 fps. I have an overclock program installed for better performance. How would this game run on my pc?

if you can play those games so well, then you should be able to play NMS at least acceptably well i think.

either way, now is the time to grab the game on sale on GMG

https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/no-mans-sky/

it is 57% off and another 12% off with code summer12 making it about $22.50, that's a steal.

this sale ends today i think.

I hope that it runs well for you and that you enjoy it as much as I do.

If you hang on a bit someone will be along and tell you how well it runs on their 1080 with all the bells and whistles

For what it's worth, I run it on an older I5 ( I bought the rig used when DCUO first came out) with a GTX 960 and it runs solid. I'd estimate in the 40-50 range, with spikes of 60 plus depending on terrain.

At work right now so can't give tech specifics, but it's more than stable and playable. You should be fine.

i actually ran it on a GTX 760 originally myself.

i had 2 in SLI, but SLI didnt work in NMS

The official minimum requirements are a GTX 480 or HD 6970. That's just to run the game - not even talking about playing it well.

The GT 1030 is significantly weaker than the GTX 480, by about 42%.

That being said, you can find used GTX 1060 3GBs around for $100 or less if you snag a deal. I believe that'd bring you up to recommended territory. Never settle for the minimum, the experience is usually bad.

Now, the GTX 1060 runs this game really well with 16 GB of ram, so I would say you'd get about the same as I used to.
Which is 60 FPS most of the time.
Lowest settings? Or medium?

Your GT 1030 is considerably weaker than my R9 270x and I get 20-30 fps at 1920x1080. so expect lower fps than that.

see Toms Hardware: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

a GTX 1030 ranks below a GTX 560 (not even a 560Ti, graphics cards released in 2011), and below an AMD HD 5850 so your card is actually terrible for recent games, at least 6 generations behind in performance.

Truly sorry, I don't think you will enjoy your gfx experience, tho maybe you don't know any different. It's sad when people get sucked in by the low budget big number cards...

Hey, hope this helps, but I can run the game so well with all settings to max and with bells and whistles with my i7 6800K 4Ghz, 32 gb DDR4 3000 Mhz, Intel M2 2tb SSD at 1500/1000 mbps and EVGA 1080SC.
