How to check what galaxy I'm in?
How do I check what galaxy I'm in? I made it to the center once then chose a system with more paradise planets, etc., but forgot the name of it and don't see a way to check.

I meant to ask about the galaxy name.

the only way then would be to check what one you are at now and the one you was at before would be the one under that on the same page.

It's as simple as: open the map and check the galaxy name. It's on the top of your screen.
It also fades in briefly when you first enter your game session too. Or at least it used to.
The galaxy map only shows the System Name and the Region of Space. Peculiarly the galaxy name is not shown.

To see the galaxy name first make a game save, manual or auto. Warp to a neighbouring system. The Galaxy name will appear for a few seconds in the centre of the screen.

If you don't want to stay in the system you warped to, reload your last save.

Thanks; yeah figured it out a bit ago when I warped. :) I thin I'm in Eis.. something, but will write it down next time. It has a lot of pretty good planets in it compared to the starting galaxy.
Sounds like Eissentam, the popular 'candy' galaxy. :)

When you warp into a system, it will tell you the name of the galaxy, the name of the system, and who discovered it (unless it's undiscovered, in which case that's you)

Or use a teleporter, you´ll see your current galaxy upon arrival.

News from the front lines...if you don't know what galaxy you are in...you need to lay off the implusive decisions.

How ridiculously stupid, so hard to tell in what galaxy we are at. Let's say we are on a planet and we have to go to the cosmos and see the map, because we cannot open the map while being on a planet.

This is an "ancient" thread. The Galaxy name shows in the upper left-hand corner in the Galaxy Map just under the inset. Necro.
