In wich place I should sell resources for optimal prices?
So i find this quiet planet with lots of Emeril. Im converting it into Chromatic Metal since it gives me pretty fine money.

But I know that certain galaxies has certain buy/sell rates. Where i should go and sell for get the most money?

Thank you

Since Chromatic Metal isn't a trade item, most likely just check npc ships to see what they will offer you. This prevents you from having to jump up to the Galactic Trade Terminal. Otherwise, with trade you would want to first establish a trade route where the system BUY/SELL rate approaches or Exceeds 100 when added together, For Instance Buy 73 % Sell 23 % == add those two numbers and you get 96 % which is fairly decent -- then you would have to find a system like that -- that offered the best possibly price. Price adjustments in White are best, Red are worst.

If you like the Trader to the stars element of game play, go for it. From a practical view, by the time you futz about finding and traveling to different systems, it is more efficient to just sell at your base trade terminal or the nearest trade terminal you can find.

Of course, I am more of an explorer/gatherer so just want to offload inventory so I can get back out there.

I read somewhere something about using a Planet's Trading Post instead of the Space Station, may get you better prices (it said should).

But I've not yet tried it. I'm sort of working one Star System so far, and I want to go visit some of the other key locations soon, like Habitable Whatevers, and the various points of interest, which I have visited a few.

One thing about these icons, not always sure what is a depleted deposit or what you have visited so far. The Wiki mentioned solid white icons, that doesn't seem to apply to my game. Best thing seems use the Visor to get coordinates given in the right side of the screen, as Y, X values, and just write them down. This way I can keep track of various sites and depleted copper deposits, for example.

Bummer, in one case, I found a cool site I wanted to revisit, since the Lifeform was huge (ended up being just a large known critter), but I guess I used the Beacon or something, and that took it off the icons in the Visor View. So now I have to find it by luck.

So I highly recommend having a notebook and just jotting down the coordinates from the visor, once you visit the place. Coordinates are of your current location.

Which place? The place that will net you the most profit.
What? Did you expect someone to name a specific system or trade post within a specific system in a game with some 18 quintillion planets?
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Install the economy scanner. Setting up trade routes is complicated and requires knowledge of which economy materials are in demand by which economy.

37k profit using one inventory slot. You make about 21% more if you buy and sell from trading posts instead of the space stations. Safe, easy, and quick. If you've warped to a few systems all ready you can use your discoveries list to set up trade routes and use the teleporters on the space stations to make some quick$$$.

For myself, I’m selling raw active indium to this shuttle pilot on the Aichig-Nira station. How I got there was:
1. Find the resource that gives the highest total value per filled inventory slot. (a.i. is 474k / 500 units)
2. Keep track of which location offers the highest trade among the systems you’ve visited so far. (a-n offers -7.4% of normal value.)
3. Sell to passing pilots, not at the galactic trade terminal. Selling on the galactic trade will change the market price. (supply & demand)
4. As you visit new star systems, check what their offer is and update #2 if they’re going higher. You will probably need to carry _some_ of what you’re selling in order for it to show on the sell list.

Good luck!

Early in the game, best option is gravatino balls or albuman pearl. You gotta run from sentinals, but it's easy to do.

Once you have the cash for a decent ship, then trade. I've written two guides on it. One is a video. You don't need much seed money to get started.
