What information are you trying to "check"? What do you mean by this? Someone else discovering a planet does not harm your game so what do you mean by "bad"?
It is not a bad or good thing that other folks discover things...just the nature of the game. You can get credit for doing your own discoveries on a planet discovered by another player. I think they retain their claim if they were first...but you still get the credits.
If they neglected to discover flora and fauna on a planet, you can discover it first and actually get the 100%...at least I have in a couple of situations where it was obvious they were jetting toward the center and were unlikely to return.
While I can't verify it, lore is that they will also get credit for the 100% if you complete the series on a planet where they left it partially explored.
Im on my base planet, on the system i started at. There is 4 planets and a moon. I discovered all 3 planets and the moon except for one that were discovered by other player. That planet is ticked with red dot, while others are yellow.
Now i'm building my farm, so i wanted to check the special plants that grow on planet on the discoveries menu. I can left click on the 'yellow' planet to see their information (solanium, copper, phosphorus etc) But when i click on the red one, nothing happened. No information is shown. (probably because i pressed 'hide')
Its a problem to go out to space and look at the planet and scan it every time i want the info... I did try to land to that planet so i could rediscover it for myself but still the problem persist.
