Thanks but I know this. The game is not rebuilding shaders. Was just reading about the switch to vulkan as I am on the experimental branch.

Would you be so kind as to take a pic of your shader cache as I think the files are in the PC banks folder instead of the Shader folder
I haven't tried experimental myself, but if I am correct then your shadercache won't rebuild because Vulkan doesn't use it.

Let me ask this another way. Was there some update or something that removed the Shader Cache folder and moved shaders to the pc banks folder? I admit I only touch this game every now and then
Shader Cache should be nested in the folder heirarchy like this:

The shader cache will be rebuilt inside the folder when the game is started. Maybe just make an empty folder with the name SHADERCACHE in the correct location.

I dont know where the shaders are located.. as something changed
The contents of the shader cache folder ought to be re-built automatically when the game starts. Just make sure you have the SHADERCACHE folder in the correct location, if it has been accidentally moved. The above locations are from my current game. No mods or experimental version being used.

The only files in my BANKS folder are:

.pak (several files)
BankSignatures.bin (one file only)
MOD (empty MOD folder)

There are no other files or folders. I am not using the experimental branch.

Thank you. That is it. I had to read the fine print in the patch notes. My game was running at slide show speeds so I thought my shaders were missing. turns out it was two mods not playing nicely with each other.
