Has anyone found THE perfect planet yet ?
Seriously ive gone through like 500 warp core cells now, ive been looking for like a week straight.

I cant find the perfect planet. Ive found some that are perfect as far as looks go, i want something with oceans but land that is mountain like with floating rocks, lots of flora and fauna, and has abundant minerals. It would also be nice if the planet had floating crystals and dig sites or scrap sites to make money on. AND NO STORMS. I also dont like blue or red grass, i prefer green/pink/yellowish

I actually found this planet i want.. but the problem is the sentinels. I always find the planet with the perfect weather and looks with great resources but then the security rating is red.. Or i find the planet with the lower security rating and the planet has boiling storms.

OR i finally find the planet with no storms and sentinels but it has no fauna or poor resources for making money.

Uhg this sucks

I was lucky to quickly find a « perfect » planet on my new play through. I advertised it in the Anomaly but nobody interested.
Stats : 6 planets (1moon) medium wealth economy
Beautiful weather (no storms)
Green grass / blue water
Standard flora and fauna I think
Passive sentinels ! ... but no ancient scrap :(
My base is listed publicly I think and says : “perfect” planet come in !
Or add me on steam, I play almost daily - CEST

Edit : Euclid (starting galaxy)

Yes

Considering there are billions of procedurally-generated planets, the chances of finding a subjectively perfect planet are slim. The one I'm on right now is close to your description:
  • Green star wealthy low-conflict Vy'keen system (emeril deposits)
  • Lush normal (storms, but not extreme) biome
  • Floating islands that are populated with trees
  • Salvageable scrap
  • No free-roaming sentinels
  • Cherry salmon colored (orange-pink) ocean and sky, but no Cyto-Phosphate sources
  • Frequent mineral deposits and deep-mining hotspots.
  • Docile bipedal mega-fauna, and abundant general fauna in three (land/sky/sea) of the four life zones, with only two hostile species out of 14
  • Hilly layout with moderate flora on green areas, with craggy mountain areas scattered about
  • Green grass
This planet took me three days of dedicated searching with 2000+ly warp range. Almost passed it over because it didn't have enough trees for my liking, until I came across the mega-fauna. Just gotta keep searching and sometimes make some sacrifices. A non-ideal planet can surprise you with even better discoveries if you give it a chance.

EDIT: Here's the mega-fauna in question, plus a shot of one of the sky islands and the color of the sea and sky during dawn: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1845337561
Critter's even "gender dimorphic", with an alternate form missing the beak but gaining long quills on the back of its head and long claws on its flippers.

If you're after planets with perfect weather then you definitely need to be in one of the Lush/Tranquil galaxies like Eissentham; galaxies like that have double the total number of lush planets as Euclid (the first galaxy). It's pretty easy to find a planet in Eissentham with perfect weather and no sentinels (literally a 20 minute search). But that doesn't mean it's easy to find the perfect planet if your criteria is a little higher. Over the past few days I did almost 400 warp jumps in Eissentham looking for a green moon with a ringed parent planet, blue sky during the day, dark blue sky at night, and perfect weather (I don't care about sentinels so long as they aren't aggressive). I never did find it, but I did find a moon that met all of my criteria save one - the weather (occasional boiling puddles). But after installing a mod that drastically reduces the frequency of storms I settled on the aforementioned moon. I've got many bases and mining operations setup on various planets, but this is eventually going to be my paradise base.

So yes, lush planets with perfect weather are easy to find in lush galaxies, but it can still be a PITA to find one if you're looking for something a little more specific.

I just did following the artemis quest after talking to the Atlas it put me on a perfect planet!

I don't care at all about which resources are available on planets for base-building, because it's not like I actually spend much time there anyway. Important mid-late game resources are mostly gathered from more inhospitable and less accessible locales, and following any of the quest lines has me spending the majority of my time elsewhere.

So I just set up my main bases on planets that look nice or interesting. I have a soft spot for snowy worlds with heavy snowstorms, but I also like some of the weirder places like failed, hex, and mechanical planets. For other planets that I invest more time into for harvesting/scavenging/questing/etc, I just set up a base computer and a portal and that's it.

But yeah, it's really easy for me to find perfect planets for a good base because I have less things to consider regarding what's perfect for my needs.

Well i have a planet with storm crystals, i was planning to build a base there and farm them, but ive been so busy looking for a good planet.

This is the one i found, but its just thje sentinels are aggressive. Btw how do you add screen shots on this ?

After the initial buzz of BEYOND, I'm waiting for them to fix the various bugs before i continue playing.

Mainly due to a 100% repeatable crash on approach to one of my bases, and the disappearing freighter/base bugs. Currently playing Rebel Galaxy Outlaw which should cover the gap till NMS is back up to speed.

Go to your screenshots,
Click on one and when it pops up,
Click on *the link* at the top of the 2nd screenshot image (not the image itself) and it'll open in another window. Then take the link from *that* windowframe, and paste into browser.

I feel like i'm back in the early 2000's describing that.

here's your image and the link your looking for:

I gave up on looking for a perfect planet so I live on a radioactive hellscape 10 RADS during the day 30 during a storm with an S rank copper Supply oxygen supply and power source and and b rank uranium mine all right next to each other

Sounds like a good candidate for just setting up a computer and portal for going back and forth. Since sentinels are aggressive, access to exocraft when you're there wouldn't hurt either.

Use Steam to take the screenshot, then upload it to your content, then paste the url to the screenshot in your post. Clicking "formatting help" below the post box may help (though I'm not sure how helpful it actually is in explaining that).
