Do a lot of people play on the Experimental BETA branch?

I get the feeling people are using the basic wooden materials and then wondering why things don't work.

I like building with wooden structures. I've hardly touched the more modern stuff yet due to the requirements of ferrite. It does suck how poorly things snap to surfaces. There is no reason why you can't place the tech desks against a wall. The same as you can place a portal anywhere you like. My base was built up and expanded to fit all this stuff and I cut the building into the side of a floating rock. I went to place my first desk and it had to be placed in the middle of the room....

I found a workaround. If you power a light, just a cheap wall light, next to the units they'll power on too even on wooden structures. Lights give AOE power over a short range like the prefab structures do.

Why do people bother building this? Once your inside a building it will recharge automatically in a few seconds.

its pointless stop talking to this post
anyway im unsubbed
There are several threads explaining how to connect hazard and first aid units and I reposted a link for you below. Basic building panels do not distribute power. Prefab units do once they are connected to the power grid.

You'd this bug would have been fixed by now. Medical station too.

It's nice that it has power, but it still doesn't do anything. Just sits there and takes ferrite dust, like a broken vending machine taking your change for nothing

Years later, thanks!
