Can't Warp to Galaxy Core?
I've followed the waypoints all the way to the final system before it points me directly to the core but it wont let me? I've filled my hyperdrive, got the top upgrade so I can go to any star and i've even tried flying to a different system in hopes it was just bugged at that one but alas, nothing. Any ideas? As far as i'm aware I should be able to enter the center!

Same, ships warp distance 3044, to galaxy core 3027. Can't even select.

You might search the discussions...but the basic answer is:

Make sure you are in the last system based on the "lines" provided. Once there, turn on the G map and just wait, and wait, and maybe even wait some more. At some point, it will finish loading the sub-routine and your ship will magically turn toward the center and you will be given the instruction.

That was my experience...if you search there were a couple of other things people did that may, or may not, have helped get the ball rolling.

Best to think of it like the teleporter sequence...it takes some time.

One of the living ship patches removed the sub-routine. It's treated more like a regular jump now.

Prerequisites: one fully-fuelled hyperdrive.

Optional extras: one indium drive unit.

They changed that waiting part for PC in one of the latest updates. If I remember correctly, it works like this: You are in the right system, open the galaxy map and move your mouse (without clicking anything) along the line from your system to the center. This should trigger a circle, which you fill with a left click. Then the camera starts moving to the center and you get another circle which you fill with a left click and there you go.
First, save in that system. Quit game & reload.

Then, make sure your hyperdive is at 100% full, go into galaxy map & hold towards the core for a long time, sometimes up to a full minute before it'll move. Then hold button to 'complete' that galaxy.
Here's one that takes about 20 seconds of holding toward core before anything happens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6o0NuojqM0k

The upgrades are irrelevant, you don't need them.

I play with a ps4 controller and I read the trick here. For me I have to hold the right joystick in the direction of the path line, in a few seconds it starts to flash and off I went.

I too was stuck until I saw this tip on this forum. Mouse and keyboard sound like they have a similar trigger

Has anyone done this recently on PC? I have no idea what "Holding the right joystick in the direction of the path line" equates to on a PC. Another comment said to "move your mouse along the line from your system to the center". This implies that there is some cursor or indicator that shows movement along the line. If the current system is still selected then moving the mouse does nothing for me, because it is still locked on the current system. I've tried waiting (10 minutes) after selecting Galactic Core, but the game never 'shifts' toward the center on its own. If anyone could provide the actual keyboard/mouse commands used, it would be greatly appreciated. And I have the mentioned requirements (whether needed or not): full hyperdrive, 6 S-class mods, Indium drive. I am at a 'gateway' system with the solid line to the center.

It's all done with the mouse. Move it in a straight line (any direction) then slowly make a circular motion around your starting point until your destination is highlighted.

Only thing missing from the video up there is a tiny indicator that looks like this:

For me it worked moving the mouse along the line to the center. Do not deselect your current system.
Musashi Apr 29, 2020 @ 6:24am
@jeff5584 .. first select your mission from Destinations (left /right keys) , than you should get the direction.
If you press RM, you can aim along the way (you can also use WASD for moving in and out) with your mouse

I made this post last year, i'm glad it's helping others but I wish there was a way to remove notifications of new posts

Laiiantie _I'm obviously missing something. When I'm in the Galaxy Map, and my Current System is still selected (a hexagon around the system), moving the mouse doesn't have any affect on the map, nothing moves, there is no indicator where the mouse is pointing. So I can't tell if I'm moving along the line.

Musashi just says to use RM which I assume is right mouse. That deselects the current system. Most comments say not to deselect the current system.

Thanks for your help guys, but I'm stumped.

I haven't warped through the center in the latest exo mech update, only before. Maybe they changed something again. And I can't remember if I saw my mouse on the galaxy map or not, but it seemed easy. Sorry I can't be of any further help :(

Thanks for trying.

Oddly enough the "unsubscribe from discussion" button does exactly that.

Think of it as an old analogue stick with a really big dead zone. There's no feedback until...

...by the way, do you have a controller plugged in?
