You mean like you lied about doing?
While in survey mode, go to exactly the source of the hotspot (you see how far away you are, try to go within 5u) and a analyse "loading" will start (like a scan). After this is done, press E.
If it doesn`t work with the power hotspot, find a gas hotspot and do it again.
You need to have the right visor installed to be able to locate different hotspots. Looking through the visor, instead of just using it to scan local wildlife, plants and rocks, you can cycle through different options (on PC, use number 3 to cycle, while holding F)
I used the visor to locate a 'Power Hotspot'.
I set up a base computer, built the Electromagnetic generator, and connected it to a battery.
- But the generator still said 'Not connected' and the mission wouldn't complete.
So I built an underwater round circle base chamber around it, which then showed on the generator as 'Connected' (I didn't need to build a door. I could still access the generator through the chamber wall).
- But the mission still wouldn't complete.
So I searched again using the visor for a mineral deposit hotspot.
I located this, analysed the hotspot and once this completed then the mission was finished and completed.
