how can i create a terrain manipulator without chromatic metal

I´m new here. Very noob. I need the terrain manipulator, but it ask me for chromatic metal. But, to get chromatic metal, i need a terrain manipulator. I´m in a loop here. Can you help me please guys? Thanks-

The terrain manipulator doesnt cost chromatic metal, so you are looking at the wrong recipe. It costs hydrogen jelly and nanotubes.

It is not like HG to put you in a situation where you have to have the tool to harvest the element to create the tool.

It takes Di-Hydrogen Jelly and Nanotubes, as Cobra5 Stated.

He probably is on the second step of that quest for the building the base computer instead of the terrain manip, as you get both recipes at the same time but as others have already said and proven with screenshots the terrain manipulator does not require chromatic metal.

I don't have ADD, but when playing this game it feels like I do.

I'm going to give the OP a break here, this game can confuse the hell out of you at times

The one mistake I make in this game over and over, is to not have the mission selected when I do the task for the mission. I think that the game also unselects the mission for certain actions, all of which I have yet to figure out when this happens.
