Not seeing a difference b/w warp hypercore vs warp cell
Just filled my empty hyperdrive with a warp hypercore. It fills the bar....just like a warp cell. Anyone know if there is a difference and if so, how much? Don't feel like wasting storm crystals if there is no difference. Or is this yet another bug that HG hasn't fixed? Googling doesn't show much for a comparison b/w the two

Warp Cell only fills the hyperdrive by 20%. How much did the Warp Hypercore fill it by?

Useless for freighters, as the warp drive gets fully loaded with either.

Useful for spaceships. Hypercores fill the warp drive entirely, compared to standard warp cells..

A warp cell doesn't fill the warp drive of a ship, it does fill the freighter's warp drive... It doesn't make sense but that's how it works.

IIRC, warp cells fill the entire hyperdrive as does the warp hypercore.

I'll double check on the warp cell when I get home but pretty sure that's how it's been

Edit: Multiple different answers on this thread already and it just shows how much misinformation is out there.

Unless it's a bug, or a recent update, you need about five warp cell to fill the drive in your spaceship (talking for experience) unless there are some upgrade that changes things it has always been like that.
However a single warp cell does fill the hyperdrive of a freighter. Again talking about my own experience.

Only on a freighter. On a regular space ship, the Warp Cell only fills 20%. I know this because during my last session (literally an hour ago), I was filling my space ship's hyperdrive.

Interesting info. I wonder why there is such an emphasis on warp travel. Related, I built the antimatter maker-you get 10 at a time. Combining that with a new fuel that completely fills your drive, it seems like there is some reason the Devs wanted to make that process quick and much easier.

Playing through a new save, and not seeing any reason why we would need mass quantities of warp juice. Maybe they have some future plans that will make that feature more relevant?

Or could just be they are dumbing everything down so it is almost impossible to not be successful. A lot of the Beyond update seems aimed at taking away challenges for the casual gamer.

Why would you need fuel to travel and explore in a exploration based game... 🤔
We might never know...

I don't know what resources you need to input into the anti-matter maker, but do you think the machine is worth it...versus doing it manually? What's the production effeciency of the machine vs manual labor?

I'll bet its not fast but look at it this way, when you go back to your base you'll always have some antimatter waiting for you.

The Anti-matter maker uses Carbon like the portable Refinery (150 Carbon or 50 Condensed Carbon). One full load gives you 10 Antimatter.

https://prnt.sc/oxsyvm

So instead of needing 250 Chromatic Metall and 200 Condensed Carbon you only need 50 Condensed Carbon.

It doesn't matter. The antimatter reactor does use and produce the same amount of things. It's a game mechanic, not a save game mechanic.
