Please bring back OpenGL.. Vulkan is so bad.
Hello Games please - bring back OpenGL. Beyond update with Vulkan has messed this game. Rendering issues, graphics looks like crap now, lower performance.. Why? T_T

PS. Would like to revert to NEXT.

Why, why would they do that?

Because Vulkan improves nvidia gpus as well. I went from 30 fps to 60fps thanks to No Man's Sky Beyond with my 1070.
That could possible be in part, at least, thanks to the lower-detailed lodding models/textures.

But a forced API shift that ruins the game for some people? Eh, that really sucks. I sympathize, and I feel like it was far from necessary.
Are you serious? OpenGL was a pain for half the user base. Now Vulcan is a pain for some folks playing on potatos.

Most games which offer Vulkan, offer it as an option.
The work and time invested in maintaining two or more APIs is mostly missing in the game itself.

They change the API because VR. If no man's sky don't have VR version, hello games will stay with openGL

Very narrow minded I think just adding a switch to change to OpenGL if people want wouldn't be too difficult.

All hail the kings of generality. Really? Cool, I get to skip this thread also.

My FPS went up, not much but enough as my PC is getting older, but my GPU is rather new (1060)..

But i have a weird haze in NMS sometimes it looks like there is some old fashioned first gen 3D effect applied over the game, that requires those old green/red glasses to expierence and makes everything looks overblurry.

Its for me an increase in FPS, but with a weird haze over the planets that just looks weird, but when the update was released, FPS was really really poor, Like sub10, lots of memoryleaking etc.. but that seems to be fixed... The haze stayed :(

*Potatoes. And bullcrap, we're talking people who ran the game at 30-60 fps before. Now all of a sudden their computer's a "potato" when before the forced API shift, their rigs ran the game just fine? Get real.

Nonsense. You have literally no idea what you're talking about.

Granted, I would guess that the number of people who are truly adversely affected by this is pretty small, but even so, it still sucks that *anyone's* getting locked out of the game due to a mid-development API shift. I mean, that's just depressing to think about.
