What's the easiest and fastest way to find manufacturing facilities?

Get yourself an exocraft, install a scanner and search for them in a more precise way.

Navigational data. Exchange for those planetary charts/maps. IIRC there are three different kinds, one of those are for the manufacturing facilities. Then use those items to reveal those facilities.

Find a NPC in a space station who sells planetary charts for "secure sites".
Acoording to wiki: Planetary Chart (secure site), a curiosity that will provide coordinates for a secure site (possibly Manufacturing Facility, Depot or Operations Centre?)

If so, buy as much as you can/want from this NPC, he will always sell the same ones.

You can switch space stations/system until you find a NPC who sells the right ones.

I can confirm this isn't true. Map spot is randomized when you buy it

I've had the best luck by going to the galaxy map and looking around for a system that specializes in manufacturing. I've done it twice, and the cartographers in those systems gave me 6 maps to manufacturing facilities in a row.

The way I did it, (mind you this might not work for you, or anyone else),
fly about 200m above the ground in a relatively straight line (the mod that puts the N/S pole markers back really helps)
above a Gek planet (I picked Gek because its really easy (for me) to determine which is the manufacturing buildings...

use ship guns and blow the door...
wait for your wanted level to reset to zero...
land... go in... do puzzle

Rinse/repeat until you are bored, or you have all that you want/need.

It's just random per system, not per buying. If you buy a map at a station, all following maps at that station will be the same type.

Can confirm this - I have visited 13 systems and checked all space station cartographers.

Got following numbers:
1 Ancient ruins
3 Outposts
3 Distress signals
6 Secure signals

And yes buying from same vendor gave same chart - nothing random.
Just that you have to test and write it down.
