Maneuverability ship stat, what does it do and can I buff it?

When I went to buy a ship I saw there is a maneuverability stat and when I installed a technology that stat decreased somehow, from like 440 to 409 or something like that. Can technologies boost or decrease maneuverability? Does the stat even matter?

It makes the ship more responsive when you're steering it.

You can increase it by getting Pulse Engine Upgrade modules. Keep an eye out for S-rank ones at the ship vendor in space stations.

Ok thanks! Do you have any idea why my ship would downgrade from 440 to 409 when I purchased it? I installed S and B tier landing tech and some weapons would that be it?
