My mining farm i use 5 batteries to every 8 panels. I need to keep charge and get them to have power for an entire night.
3 panels for every 2 batteries should be enough with some power to spare.
I work with 2 panels per battery. YMMV

I can't help but feel like this whole solar panel/battery calculation thing would be a lot more understandable/manageable if they'd just fix the "Time Until Drained" counter on the batteries, where it counts down instead of up. Like, seriously... wtf?? I don't think that's too much to ask. Seems like a super-easy fix that they just don't want to be bothered to fk with. I mean, they do massive updates quite often, and they can't fix this one timer?? *smh*
That is so wierd, I never noticed that before, but i don't really pay any attetion to the time to depletion anyway. I look at the power per second being used then figure by 1000 and add enough batteries to cover that, because 15 minute day/night cycle was the last I heard, so 900 seconds, but solar is lower in the morning and evening so a little buffer. Then on the solar side I add enough to cover double what is being used so it has enough to run in the day and still charge the batteries for the night. Good catch though.
