My suggestion is change your online play to friends only while you're base building until perms are resolved.
I know back before Next there was a way to drop a base claim on top of other peoples bases, but that was a bug that was fixed. Unless it's come back? Was the person who 'hacked' you an orb? Or were they an actual person?
The closest I could think of would probably be going to the nexus and then teleporting to a players base on the nexus list. You might be able to mess with that, maybe. I can't imagine the game storing game access permissions locally though, that would just be odd.
@OP, did you happen to go to the nexus just before you were base bombed?
Definitely need a way to restrict bases from showing up on the nexus teleport list. I'm not sure the multiplayer settings have any actual impact on the nexus. I had multiplayer disabled earlier and was still able to see other people in the nexus.
Thanks, I was wondering if this was the case (regarding orbs). I play permadeath so none of my friends can actually join my game and vice versa.
I wonder if the nexus is limited to mode... hm.
I think the nexus is whats being abused to base bomb OP. They likely saw his base on the teleport list in the nexus, and used that. I don't think multiplayer settings have any effect on the nexus, at least they don't seem to for me.
