Via the 'Fleet Management' (OWTTE) terminal on the console on your freighter's bridge, where the navigator/mission-giver is.

'E' the fleet screen and all your frigates are listed. Click on any frigate (or is it 'e' again...I just do this without thinking) and you get a screen with stats etc for that frigate and you can click on its name and type your own in, rather like renaming starship/freighter.

Do you know how to do anything IN game without using the save editor? Cos all this stuff can be done in game -- it's really easy
