Iterations Ares and Helios not working FOUND SOLUTION

For whatever reason neither of these will give out nanites. After first arriving there is one convo and then even after instructed to speak to them they dont have any conversation trees that give nanites... what do I do!

It appears that when the online discoveries service is connected then Ares and Helios work....the question now becomes why is the service so rarely connected

One of them is giving the nanites for completing the milestones, the other one - for discoveries (flora and/or fauna). Either you didn't complete any new of those, or it is a bug.

I have had plenty of nanites from both, so no idea why you're not getting any unless (as JoraJukov) suggested, you've not completed any new milestones, etc., since you last visited.

At one time you had to talk to Nada and Polo before you gain full access to Ares and Helios. You will get the first conversation exchange without it, but can't use them otherwise.

Not sure if that still applies, but it probably is still a quest trigger. Check your Log for any quests for talking to Nada and Polo, highlight them and then talk to them. It may help.

Thanks for the suggestions but unfortunately nothing appears to be working. I have never got nanites for milestones and normally fill one each session and I have the quest saying talk to these two but still no joy.
Help a poor traveller out.

In the dialogue with them you will not necessarily know that you have to complete milestones, they may say something like "Show us what you have got..." etc. So I suggest you increase your milestones, for example completing several 100% Fauna discoveries on planets, hit a certain number of discovered flora etc. You can watch your milestone status in the "Milestones" page to know if it has increased and what you need to do for the next level.
This also applies for other NPC's at the Nexus, whereas Polo/Nada will usually tell you *exactly* what to do.

Hi japp, I went back and checked and I have 78 journey milestones and the iteration, Ares I think, just ignores me , something like speak to him later...

Yes, at the moment I'm in the same situation. I must figure out what they want exactly, then the dialogues will change I guess.

Helios wants planets, fauna and flora, (never saw him refer to minerals) but he needs more than a few before he will hand over the nanites. Aries is all about the milestones,(50 per if i recall correctly) hope that helps.

I have the same problem, neither of them want to talk to me and say come back later etc. Beat all the storyline/base questlines and have jumped to a new galaxy and they still don't want to talk to me lol.

Stupid question, but do i keep my findings registered in the game database, when i hand them out to both guys ? So i sell copies hopefully or are they wiped from the game database then ?

I was thinking this too. the online service that is never online in my game! I uploaded all my stuff and now it's gone! :) i can't see any information anymore about planets and so on.

SOme how i can upload with no problem while not having a connection. I even get the 3 nanites per found object.

Your save file queues up your uploads when you are offline. They aren't actually being uploaded while offline, they just give you the nanites up front. When you finally do go online, it will do the actual upload, but if anyone else has discovered and uploaded it between when you pushed upload and when you actually went back online, you won't get discovery (your name on it for others).

There's also a limit to how much your save file can store-to-upload later like this, so if you play offline for an extended period of time, some of your uploads will never truly happen. You'll always get the nanites though.
