Also, I suggest working your way to a blue system and picking up some indium (activated, if possible). Activated indium gives 8x more chromatic metal than copper.
You need 10 times less copper if you can get some gold and silver. When you have frigates you need a lot of tritium. You will not lack gold or silver.
10 chromatic metal with cadmium, 20 with emeril and 30 with indium. It does not work if the metal is activated.
More in the subject, I never get the problem. But there is something strange with the inventory of rafineries. I can place 5 Chloride lattice coming from my exosuits in a rafinery. But if I take 10 Chloride lattice from my freighter and put them in my exosuits in 2 slots. The rafinery wiill accept 10 of them.
When I raffine 2 Chloride lattice I get 300 chloride. Because I play in survival I should not be able to have more than 250 chloride. But the game allow 300. If I get out the UI of the rafinery with 300 chloride. The amount of chloride reseted to 250 when I open the rafinery few seconds later.
If you play in normal you may be able to place 9999 item in the rafinery. I am not sure the rafinery was thought for that many items.
So you'll never run out of chromatic metal again
lol I actually needed to refine something (can't remember what it was) last time I was playing and checking things out.
