Adjacency Bonus Explained?
Can someone explain how the adjacency bonus works? I know it increases the power of things when you stack them next to each other, but how do I see how much it actually increased? I don't see a "bonus" meter anywhere. Or is it bugged like most things? :P

You dont get to see how much its actually increased (never have). There isn't a 'bonus' meter anywhere. No, its not 'bugged', just your preconceptions :p

This seems to be the best way moving them around to you get the best numbers to the right.
Thank you for bringing it up btw you just earned me a few more %. :P

Apparently the Yellow S ones boost better side by side than on the sides of the actual weapon or laser. Even putting the green C mods below boosted S mod better 2 squares away than on the side of the boltcaster.

Jason Plays, the YouTuber, has some pretty good videos explaining it. I think his were made a bit before Beyond, but it is the same idea.

Here is the video link for his latest one of the subject, I believe:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHdI6Gg7IWg

And an earlier one from June on similar concepts:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZh4rpAX1Hg

The bonus itself, numerically, is not always possible to find nor if so easy . But if you look, for example, at your Spaceship, it will tell you its damage rating etc. Those will supposedly increase with the right upgrades for it and adjacency. Likewise, the Multi-Tool has some stats which you can then compare to it without those upgrades, and should include that information. Again, like Damage, etc.

Anyway, I believe the videos are from about a month or two ago, you can look at them.

He also explains how you can see a colored outline next to the icons for the modules in the inventory. The same colored outline is shown around related modules that boost each other. And maybe at one time there was a bit of the outline that was brighter and represented the amount of boost, but not sure if that is really the case, at least anymore.

And I'm no expert. These are mostly things I've read or watched on videos of the game, they are not things I've confirmed much. I see the outlines, I have not checked the numbers, just thought about how when you asked.

I guess ill be really happy about moving it around when i need those extra 0.012 damage.

It is a shame that from NEXT's latest version to Beyond, they seem to have removed some of the easy stats on the various tabs for Multi-Tool etc. You can see that from Jason Plays videos where one is from pre Beyond and the other from Beyond.

I don't know why they just don't add a list of bonuses right under the stats, for example like your picture on the Right hand side, just above the view of the gun itself. Or they could have a little tab for it like before, right next to the Pencil, giving us a total bonus list and for what systems or effects. Do this for the Ship, Suit, Tool, and Exocraft tabs.

I mean, whomever is fooling with this GUI from Next to Beyond is sort of reinventing the wheel and losing some treads in the process.

Why did HG remove the mining laser readout? It was in the game iirc.

I was too new, and still a bit am even after 100 plus hours in NMS, to recall exactly what they removed and why. I just know that before there was more info on almost every tool, suit, ship, even sometimes on modules and items. You might have to hit the drop arrow or the pencil icon to see it, often they acted as a toggle before, but now it is clear lots has been removed or steamlined.

I don't know why. Personally, I think they just omitted it by mistake in the GUI. Not to happy about that, myself.

But maybe I'm missing something that is obvious as a replacement. I doubt it though. Just like omitted the N and S on the compass (due to return next patch). Beats me as to why.
