Any way to remove that stupid haze/cloud effect round the outside of the screen?
The effect I am talking about is the cloud-like graphic that forms around the outside of the screen/visor indicating the hostile aspects of the planet you are on. If it is poisonous, the cloud is green; for hot planets it is red etc. It is not always displayed (though I have not yet worked out why it's there sometimes and sometimes not since it seems random).

Anyway....how do I remove it? It looks ridiculously crap and completely ruins immersion. It is simply drawn as an overlay on the visor and thus does not blend in as fog or mist onthe planet surface (which would be awesome). Basically, it is so jarringly out of place that I can't play this game with that abomination swirling round the screen edges wherever I go.

I am sure the option to turn it off is there....somewhere. It must be because surely others are annoyed by this? Since it took me about 30 minutes just to find out how to switch to a first -person view I'm guessing HG just buried it somewhere equally obscure?

It's supposed to be your helmet getting condensation in the glass from cold, or a leak from dangerous environments. It's kind of bothersome, but it's there to be immersive.
