Dreams of the deep never started for me?

Title. According to the wiki quest shouldve started after finishing The first traveller mission. Currently im on patterns in time and the side mission shoudlve started. Did they changer it or what?

I got this mission after jumping through some systems after doing the first traveller. Maybe try that.

I jumped 12 systems or so for oding the Atlas path and not once i got a communication or whatever to start that quest. I stopped doing artemis path and meet a korvox cartographer and thats when i did hte atlas. I jumped many systems.

dose it not come after "Ghost in the machine"? im sure i got it during or after that quest.

I'm at the 16 countdown and still haven't gotten the quest. I've really been looking forward to it too. I did the quest when Abyss update came out but I didn't get a great water planet and didn't really go searching either. I've been meaning to get into it again for a long time but when I heard about Beyond , I decided to wait for that. I'm on a new save btw.

But thats the atlas path, Dreams of the deep is a separate mission. it should just kick in, if your playing a old save. i went the the end and saved it b4 i chose a new galaxy, and the quest just added for me at that point .Pre update ofc. Since the update i have it now but im not finished with opolo .

I started playing NMS after the beyond update so my save isnt old. I have no idea why it didnt start for me. According to the wiki it starts after completion of first traveller and is giving by holo-terminus. I have no idea why it doesnt trigger.

I avoided all underwater stuff and didn't take on any missions. After warping approximately 40 times i got a random distress signal that ended up being Dreams of the deep. I enjoyed the random encounter and ended up doing the entire thing :D

I don't think its linked to the artemis quest. I haven't even visited the long range transmission terminal yet, and the mission started for me. I noticed it shortly after hitting the milestone warp 40 times and I visited a system with water and scanned some underwater critters there.
