It won't connect properly to a hallway or structure on the flat ground ;)
I've seen some bases with Beyond-era landing pads connected to bases without doors, does anyone know how to do that?
It is 5x5 for basic floors. The 5x5 does see placement and alow you to line it up better.
You can even "place it" on a single floor. But nothing will line up any better.

Last image, 3x3, is actualy using 1/4 sized panels, yes?
Those are not floor pieces. The real floor pieces are hidden as can be seen in the next screenshot where I had a much larger grid.
