"Proximity Switches" not working..?
Just wondering if it is a known bug, or something I'm missing - as I cannot get Proximity Switches to work for opening/closing the Doors (not Powered Garage-style doors, just the regular person-size doors).

I tried putting power as:
Power > Proximity Switch > Door
and
Power > Proximity Switch > Inverter > Door

It doesn't seem to matter, the Door either stays 'open' or 'closed'. Walking into the path of the Proximity Switch (blue light beam area) does not seem to 'trigger' anything...

Thanks for any input

If I may Reply to my own post (especially in the chance that it can help other noobs like me lol), the 'trick' to the Proximity Switches is this:

The detection region/area of the Proximity switch is LARGE, as in 4+ body lengths of distance large - AND it includes the 'building cam' - which was very confusing... It was 'detecting' the flying camera of the 'building cam', even though I had purposely placed my body/player far away from the door, so as to not trigger it...

So, just in case anyone else finds that the Proximity Switches to not seem to be 'switching' (toggling), it is likely that you are just too close; simply move farther away from the switch - including the flying camera of the 'building cam' - and you'll see the Proximity Swich toggle 'off' (red lights, and the blue beam will turn off as well).

HTH anyone else too lol
Now to try get an 'automated door opener/closer' figured out

Btw, last i checked they are activated by any moving entity in the environment... that includes the lovely butterflies that spawn right next to my base and let themself in to drain my power.

Afaik, proximity goes through walls. The trigger disance is about 7u, about the distance of 1.5 cuboid rooms, but will maintain the trigger out to 10u, 2 cuboid rooms before disengaging.

The specifics on wiring is Power -> Left or Right T of inverter -> door AND Power -> prox switch -> bottom T of inverter. Wiring needs to go through the switches where you don't put lines on the same terminals.

that sounds more like a problem with the doors (mate of mine was mentioning it a few days ago too).
proximity switches work fine, all my teleporters use one to save energy.

those button switches on the other hand...

tbh those doors need an update, it makes zero sense having to wire them specifically when you put them in large structures which are already powered by themself. on of the reasons I rather use holo doors.
