The detection region/area of the Proximity switch is LARGE, as in 4+ body lengths of distance large - AND it includes the 'building cam' - which was very confusing... It was 'detecting' the flying camera of the 'building cam', even though I had purposely placed my body/player far away from the door, so as to not trigger it...
So, just in case anyone else finds that the Proximity Switches to not seem to be 'switching' (toggling), it is likely that you are just too close; simply move farther away from the switch - including the flying camera of the 'building cam' - and you'll see the Proximity Swich toggle 'off' (red lights, and the blue beam will turn off as well).
HTH anyone else too lol
Now to try get an 'automated door opener/closer' figured out
The specifics on wiring is Power -> Left or Right T of inverter -> door AND Power -> prox switch -> bottom T of inverter. Wiring needs to go through the switches where you don't put lines on the same terminals.
proximity switches work fine, all my teleporters use one to save energy.
those button switches on the other hand...
tbh those doors need an update, it makes zero sense having to wire them specifically when you put them in large structures which are already powered by themself. on of the reasons I rather use holo doors.
