Platinum as mineral deposits?
Question,

Are there Platinum mineral deposits we can mine, push to storage containers and eventually move to nanities? I've found gold and silver (so I can go that route) but wondering if there are platinum deposits..

The only mineable Platinum I have found is in the Asteroid belts.

Dang, was hoping to cut a processing cycle out of a nan farm.

Thanks

If you're lucky you'll find a planet with huge caves and platinum in the stalactites/-mites,

Some planets have "Metal Fingers" deposits these can provide platinum but they are usually sparse or have been the few times I've come across them.

You sure about that? I've only ever seen gold and uranium, which matches the wiki description.

I've had a few pop out but it's been very far and few, certainly not worth the effort trying.

Not as far as I know, but if its early in the game and you are collecting slots for your suit you can find it on some stations (check both terminals on each station) and can collect/crash the market as you go. When I finished I had 6 stacks (9999 each) of platinum and 4 stacks Pugneum, both went to nanite refining when I was done.

Also, you can refine Gold and Silver together in a Large/Medium refiner to make Platinum

Yep, that's what I'm doing.. was just hoping to skip the gold&Silver part and simply find a Platinum vein I could drop miners on.

No and why on earth would you waste time doing that. Nanites are handed out hand over fist now. Really almost every time you interact with something you get nanites.

With the recent platinum to nanite nerf from 5 platinum to 35 per nanite unless you can automate it I would just go with a decent larva core farm at a abandoned building as that was a good option before this had happened.

These special resources objects can respawn reasonably quickly. Possibly they respawn more quickly inside a base radius. For sure it seems that way to me. Inside my base radius my crystals respawn about 1x/day.

Build an Indium farm. Sell the indium and fly around to wealthy planets until you find a few that supply platinum in their trade terminals. Sell your indium and use the proceeds to buy the platinum.
