Hi, how can i zoom out in 3rd person view?

I excitedly clicked on this heading thinking this was a new feature, then found out some Necromancer is kicking a dead horse from clear back to 2019.

If it was never in the game, it's not "broken" LOL I mean...if the criteria for "broken" is "features I wanted but never got", then I would have to declare just about every game I have ever played to be "broken"

Anyway, hopefully a mod will show up and throw some dirt on this grave.

The in-game key configuration lists what keys do what on PC and work with a controller. One of them lets you zoom in steps, while using the Analysis viewer or combat scope.

If you want to change camera views from 1st person to 3rd person you can easily do that with the camera function in the Quick Menu. Even easier you can bind that function to a hot key [0-9] to change camera as a toggle for fast switching. Most things on the Quick Menu can be bound for fast custom access.

FOV (Field of Vision) can also be adjusted in Options.

But the game STILL has no ability to adjust the camera in 3rd person (without using mods). Which is what the thread is complaining about.

So a lot has changed, but in this regards, nothing has changed.

I've just come back from 2027, (via Tik Tok), and was reliably informed by person, or persons unidentifiable, that the zoom thing is still broken.

PS. When I asked about 'Starfield' alongside NMS I had things thrown at me.

It's not "broken" if it doesn't have a feature by design that you'd like.

Changing your FOV is what all games do by scrolling the mousewheel, changing settings, mods, or otherwise. If changing the FOV in settings to 100 isn't good enough for you, then you can change it to higher than that in the config file manually, or download a mod, but you're not going to be able to just scroll it on the fly. The game was never designed that way, and it's not broken.
