Can't build terrariums or aquariums
I did a few quicksilver missions and picked up blueprints for the terrarium and aquarium. I have all of the materials but get a 'must attach to structure message' in all of my structures. Is this just a bug or am I missing something?

Is the architecture wood, concrete, metal or prefab? If you're using cuboids or any of the larger structures it should snap right in.

You cannot build the terrarium/aquarium in the Freighter too. However you can place the aquatic crystal, candelabra bloom, rock garden and curly coral instead (you can scale them up).

Not sure if this a new bug since I haven't placed one in awhile, but they do snap to the center of a floor panel, and are tall so make sure you have enough room space to place one.

Yes you can - although I was only able to build 1 terrarium, I also have several (4) aquariums on my freighter (s) - 2 games :steamhappy:

you can place them on a freighter by using a mod but not in the vanilla game
checked it 10 mins ago.... unable to build in freighter but in the basebuildingtable it is marked as buildable in freighter, hm. i think it can be made placable by changing <Property name="IsPlaceable" value="False" /> to True
Seems I also have no power grid in my freighter... - that might be another problem but the aquarium/terrarium needs power (same with the standing carbon planters).

Neither of my games is modded, nor have any edits made changing properties from "false" to "true" in either of my saves - both freighters have 1 terrarium + 4 aquariums (although I think I am able to build more of these) i.e. both my saves are "vanilla" instances of NMS.
@Psyclos: you should test it today. It doenst really matter if you built it in the past...

Here's a pic just taken on my Euclid save

That shows that they are still possible builds :steamhappy:

Neat. Now remove one and try to put it back exactly where you found it.

If it works you've been more fortunate than I because the only things that still snap into place here are the hydroponic planters and some terminals!

Thanks for the replies! I've tried building in every type of structure with plenty of surrounding space and no joy. Guess I'll send a bug report...

Glitch them. For the terrarium, put the pipe at its right in the list, on the ground, the pipe should be green on any surface. Then press left mouse and select the terrarium at the same time. Might take a few tries but you'll end up with validating the terrarium instead of the pipe. For the aquarium, you'll need to buy a statue, a curly coral, an aquatic crystal or a candelabra bloom, which will be at its left on the list, to do the same on any surface.
