How do you transfer items on a ship exchange.

Cant see how to do this ( in beyond in VR) It gives you a warning to transfer your inventory but when and how can you do that? Any help appreciated.

It is very simple. In the comparison screen it shows both. Just click on an item on your old ship and it will pop over to the new ship. You can also delete any tech and pop over the mats at the same time.

If you change your mind before finalizing, the stuff you popped over will return. Unfortunately, anything you delete is truly gone..just the mats will come back.

That's all exact, except that you need to quit the menu (which will undo everything) if you want to dismantle tech in your old ship, this can only be done separately and not in the exchange menu. At least in my non-VR game.

Be very careful with the "Swap ship" and "Exchange ship" tab, once pressed you can only undo it with a manual save or a backup of your savegame.

And I have to correct my above post: Indeed you CAN dismantle in the menu (I have checked hours ago). Use middle mouse button to dismantle things on the left side, the materials will be placed in free slots on the left side. Transfer them to the right side by clicking once on them (to the new ship).

Thanks for the correction Japp! I forgot that you have to go back one to delete the tech.
