Anyway to hide wiring?
I just spent the last 30 minutes setting up lights in my base and strung the wire through as nice as I could but after I got it all finished seeing all the wires is bugging me as I like it to look clean...I don't like seeing the wires and was wondering if there is a way to just hide them.

at the source of your power, dig a hole and place the wire in the bottom of the hole, then continue to drag the wire to where you are going to connect it, dig a hole there and place the wire in the bottom of that hole and then connect it to the building. The entire wire will be underground. You can manually refill the holes or just wait for the game to do it -- it's up to you :)

There's a mod for this as well.

I have been using that technique and it works quite well, especially when running wire over distance such as from an EMG. For your layout you could also try flipping the wall lamps over so the plug is on the bottom, then run a short wire from each down through the floor and then connect them all together with wires underneath and tight so not visible unless you are actually underneath yourself.

The wires are awful, stupid, and a waste of space... They ruin every base.
All 15 of my beautiful and elegant bases, ruined by stupid generators and wires and solar panels... It's sad... All that hard work defaced and ruined

In our level of technology we don't have wireless energy transmission?
In our level of technology we don't have simpler and obvious energy production?

This is a science fiction based game and nobody thought about a fusion reactor, or a nuclear fission plant made with Uranium, or a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ windmill??? A windmill on an extreme planet with full weather storms all the time would be just as effective as a solar panel you dimwitted hippies!

This whole "power plant" crappy add-on is stupid and backwards. It's shows how limited the minds of the game creators really are. So disappointing. Drunk on a 3 day bender I could have come up with better.

Yet for 3 years you've been going to outpost after outpost after outpost and every one of them has wires, and yet, you said nothing. EM is pretty far past a fusion reactor... maybe you want to use that.

So you have to ask yourself... what are you REALLY going to do about it?

What am I going to REALLY do about it? Complain and send hate mail to the goons who ruined their own game until I find another game that is better... XD

Maybe skip the hate mail... its their game..

My wires run inside the walls and floor, they're thick enough, no double wall needed.

Wiring? I said before that with the level of technology in the game surely there would be no wiring needed?

Even with present technology we can already have wireless powering to a point.

This. Wires are not fun, hiding them is not fun, they do not add a fun problem solving element. Please get rid of this out dated item.
