Space Anomaly - Explorer The New Reality

I was working through the Space Anomaly missions, and now my next task simply says "Explore The New Reality". Is it finished? Does it always say that? I've been playing for hours and all the little guy offers me is locations of black holes (even though I've completed the mission which always shows them on the map) and locations of the next Atlas (even though I've finished that path).

Am I supposed to be doing something here?

Sounds like you reached the end of the quest.

I'm at this point too. You'd think it would not be in the list of missions anymore and not sit there open ended though.

Some players miss the "read the story and enjoy the journey" part of NMS. They think if they get to the end there will be a big reveal or major boss fight. I guess technically that is a spoiler...but the enjoyment is the journey not the destination.

I made the same mistake my first play through. The real ongoing joy of the game is exploring and knowing you will never run out of new places to see and wonders to behold.

The quest can't be closed, because it a never ending quest. Explore the galaxy, then explore the nexy galaxy, you have 255 galaxies, and even then you are back to the first. Just explore forever.

You've reached the end of the main story arcs. Now you play the game as a sandbox. Do whatever you want basically within the games limits. Hopefully they'll start up community events again soon. I need more Quicksilver.

Thanks for that everyone! I thought that was probably the case, and I have been enjoying this game so much this time round. I originally bought this on Day 1 for my PS4 and it was awful, coming back to it now on PC its like a different game, so much to do with base building etc..
