Can you delete communication stations?

I was building a base and i decided to put down a communication station, and now whenever i walk near it it shows the message on my screen and i cant figure out how to delete it

you can delete asnything you build......but first you need to tell us if you are using Keyboard or Controller?

AFAIK you cannot delete a comm station. However, to solve that annoyance simply build another farther away, since you can have only one on a planet. The new one will erase the old one.

Hello. To delete a station, don't add another one. I tried it didn't work. What you have to do is press Z to go in construction mode than use the CTRL key to delete it then confirm. That's all folks.

I can confirm that building another one, further away, *worked*.
1. build another one further away
2. go in and out of your ship, to save the game
3. quit the game
4. open the game again, and notice how *both* of them are gone.

What do the com sations do? I kinda thought it was a MP thing

I think because none of the online services work right now, they are pretty much useless. Also naming services are never online for me to upload my discoveries.

I got rid of mine.
When I built a Message Module it disappeared after I re-logged.
I then was able to delete the MM normally.

A floating device that you can place anywhere on the planets surface. It contains a very short message that anyone that goes to it can read. And unless something changed in NEXT, another players comm is visible while in orbit, and you can have only on per system.

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work for me. I think my issue is, my first communications station bugged out and is now a few feet in the air extremely close to one of those non-buildable lights you see dotted around. :\ It's hella awkward just floating there. After trying this trick the second station disappeared and the first remained.

Any other advice? I'd love to be able to remove this silly floating orb of text.

I also built one with "hello world" just next to entrance for a test and found that I cannot delete it.
Immediately i went to search, and reading this thread, for someone all disappeared.

So what worked for me to remove single communication station:
1. After you made this mistake, DO NOT save your game, just to be safe (auto or manual)
2. Quit to desktop
3. Load game again, without comm station.
