Any way to skip Nexus Quick Silver Event mission?
So basically I don't feel the need to ever do taming for Quick Silver community event mission.
Waiting around over 10 minutes, or reloading save seems to give me same taming mission.
I've found exiting NMS and restarting seems to bring up a new mission about an hour later.

Ideally there'd be a skip button that gives a different mission (even if its usable only once a day).
But if any details to help avoid certain community mission without the one hour wait would be greatly appreciated.

Now if you're not getting a different mission every ten minutes I'd say you have a bug. This mission changed time has been confirmed by a lot of ppl.

I've always just done a different mission and when I got back it had changed.

I think any mission given my the Nexus counts toward the community event, regardless of whether it rewards Quicksilver.

Hopefully that's how it works

When I can't find an interesting mission, I just leave the Nexus and fly right back in? Seems to refresh all the missions for me? Or am I misunderstanding you?

I find that the missions in the Nexus are updated on a 2 minute basis, I see them changing if I stay long enough. And I pick QS missions only if they are the most interesing ones which is not always the case.

I think every time you enter the Anomaly you usually get put into a new one. It's rare for me to enter it and find the same folk who were there before.

With that much resetting, it's little surprise the missions change as well.

I didn't test if the non-quicksilver missions help community event, because I'm really not sure where to start testing that one out.

However from everyone's descriptions here in this topic I tried the following.
Left Nexus and returned immediately and no change, tried leaving flying around my freighter and returning and no change, and so I stayed away for 2 minutes and the missions changed yay!

I know from earlier attempts that staying in nexus for +2minutes did not change mission.
Therefore leaving nexus after a couple minutes is a must do.
So I can only conclude that leaving nexus after 2 minutes (or returning after 2 minutes) will refresh the nexus missions, at least that's the pattern that appears to work for me?
Many thanks everyone for the suggestions and details. I hope this pattern keeps working so I can help out with community events a lot faster then I was before.

I have played with an offline installer of GoG for 2 weeks doing a lot of Nexus missions in the game versions 2.09.4 up to 2.11. Now I play with online connection and restricted MP settings. The differences I have noticed are:

Offline:
- No QS missions, that's totally normal
- Missions were only updated after doing a mission, else I need to change several star systems, or wait a considerable time to enter Nexus again, no clear general picture about the mission updates, also because I didn't focus on that observation.

Online:
- I see always at least 1 QS mission in the non-scollable list of 5-6 missions.
- If I select the Nexus interaction and stand there for minutes, I will see that the oldest mission will disappear, replaced by a new one, the others will shift down. I don't recall wether the QS missions will also change, again: I just go by memory, I didn't focus on that topic in particular.

I hope this helps somehow.
