when I saw this before release I got very excited. when I saw the price tag, I knew I had to wait.
the game delivers what is promised. a never ending universe for you to fly around and discover things.
where it does not deliver is variation.
I mean, when you first land on a planet and you see the red flower, them you see the stalagmites, then you see the yellow flower, then you see the plant that wants to kill you, they look awesome. then you move to a different planet and you see all of themy again. then you move once more and there they are. until you realize all planets have them. they are the same.
also, apparently space is littered with asteroids everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE. it's useful as you mine them, but DAMN! that could explain the excess mass astrophysicists base the dark matter in.
long and the short is, as people said, it is very repetitive. it did not have to be. if the items I mentioned were like 10 or 15 of each, you'd take a while to see them again and that would make it less so.
I mean, you can't find two animals that are the same, the trees look very different from planet to planet. some things are very well executed. some are not. it really looks like they could have put some more effort into it.
good thing I did not pay full price.
but yeah, it's a fun game, but I'm not sure I'll play it for long.
10/10 ids da ♥♥♥♥ jus BY it mane
Thanks!
I was thinking of playing again after the updates but I still can't get over the absurdity that this game is about discovery and naming planets yet have structures built on them and alien life. Top that off with the worst offender: universal big brother enforcement bots that come after you if you do something they don't like and all the sudden you realize that somebody is looking over your shoulder the entire time and...well...the feeling of isolation and loner space travel goes right out the window and you feel right back in political reality on planet Earth. That to me is a massive writing error for capturing the fantasy of discovering a universe and space travel many wanted in this game. Sean did mention this before the release and I was going to let it go for the sake of discovering cool unique planets...but those unique planets didn't happen.
Nice to know your standards are below 0 , they lied period they sold a product that was not as advertised.. They do not get a free pass.. get it ok good.
