Is this a synthetic?
Caught me by surprise. I've been exploring with my eyes bugged out and jaw hanging. There is a whole story thing happening at the rings.
Look for any planets labeled things like Airless or Life Incompatible
I made up my own names for them.
Light columns (the one posted)
Bubble world
Metal Pillars
SuperHexagon
BuckyBall
Skeleton Buckyballs
I would think that it's a random shot at finding a planet like this, not hours and missions, but I really don't know. While I have over 1,000 hours, certainly less that 100 hours since Atlas dropped.
It was a long time ago when I got Atlas Pass v1 so can't help. Try google.
Depends what you did in the story mode. Where i am , warping to red star systems is an almost guaranteed chance at finding synthetic planets
And that's the color of this system. I'll be looking for more of these
