Deliver the Goods?

So, I accepted a mission where I have to deliver something. I went to a system where it said "deliver the goods" with an icon on it, thinking this is the right system to go for the mission. Now that I'm there, the mission tells me "the target is in another system", however when I open the galaxy map, it tells me "destination reached" for the mission. What am I missing?

do any of the planets have a waypoint ? did you try and select a different mission then back again to see if it updated?

No, nothing updates when I select a different mission.
I went back to my base and then used the teleporter, and even there it said "deliver the goods" next to the system I chose to teleport back to.
I figured that the mission might be bugged and I have to cancel it. The system where I have to deliver the goods to has only 1 planet, which is barren and apparently has no locations like trade stations, etc. When I talk with the people at the space station and ask them for directions, the locations are always in other star systems.

Find any trade depot and see if you can turn it in. If that doesn't work you can abandon at any mission guy now.

Yeah I abandoned the mission. There is absolutely nothing in that system. No ruins, no trade terminals, no buildings, no waypoints at all.

Did you have the mission ready to turn in? Some missions require you to get an item before deliverying it either by crafting it or buying it.

Yeah, the goods were given to me. It was a simple delivery mission. Now my standing with the Korvax decreased for abandoning the mission.

losing the standing is no big deal. It is easy to increase it.

dont worry about standing. mine goes up and down all the time. doesn't seem to affect me any.

This could be one of the typographical glitches that might get fixed in the next patch. Just follow the gift box icon.

It is a convoluted mission. I finally passed it. There was a trick to it...can't remember it now. It was something like go to the system per your base teleport and then use the map to the location it shows,then to the planet in that system.

It's quite frustrating, though. I have a mission to increase my Korvax standing by 4. I have -2/4... (yes, negative progress).

Yeah I had a mission like this before. I just followed the icon, turned it in and was done. This time, there was just no one in the system to receive the goods.
