Base - Ghosts in the Machine

Just a quick question. I've already warped away from the holotower and had to warp multiple times back again to finish that quest. I am on the part where I need to make a base.

Can I make it anywhere I choose? Or do I need to make it in the system where I started the mission. When I look on the galaxy map the system has "base location" in the description even though I have not found it yet. I'm hoping I can make it wherever I like and this place is just a suggestion from the NPC but I want to make sure so I don't have to back track again.

Yes, you can find a new base. My initial base quest found me one on an extreme radiation planet and I was like "NOPE!, next!".

Great news! Thanks a bunch! After you build the base it doesn't send you back to that previous system so I can warp 30x if I want?

Once you have a base you can use a teleporter to get back to it from any station. As for the msq(still weird to say for this game) it should continue to send you forward to new locations not backwards.

I am having the same issue with ghost in the machines. How to complete I already have lots of bases and ships. I don't want to start over I have built the round room created a new base when back and built on the first base in the game any help would be appreciated
