Scientist bug mission? /CIRCUIT BOARD???/
I am in the mission of the scientist: '' connect the scientists core to the convergence '' in the transmission tower, when it arrives, it asks me to insert a circuit core when I have not yet learned the blueprint: S is a bug? can anybody help me?

basically you take the core out of your robot scientist and go to a tower and insert it. it is not an item in your inventory, just a quest.

I think what OP is saying is that to access the transmission tower, he has to repair it. But it's asking for a circuit board in order to repair?

Someone else is having this issue but with living glass. This is strange indeed. You aren't given those blueprints until later on.

Exactly what @Kuroodo says, he asks me to repair the tower with a circuit core.

Also I have already obtained the blueprint of the acid and glass, I understand that they are the last to get.

Were you able to solve this? I'm tired of looking for a circuit board in every space station and ship I see : /

no man.... :( I restart new game, and I have started base missions at the beginning... but now can continue my game

From what I've found, the base building missions seem to eventually intertwine with one another. My weapons guy wants me to attack those container depots, which I'm not in a hurry to do ... but then I got into the exocraft guy, who also wants me to destroy those depots, but gives me a vehicle to make it easier to do it with (at least, once I get used to handling the damn thing.)

They seemed to cross paths with each other at other points, too (Overseer wants a gravitino ball. Then I hand in something to the farmer, and he teaches me to grow a gravitino ball. Handy.)

You have to advance the overseer. But the scientist requires a first mission, and that mission may send you to a broken station.

SOLUTION/workaround
If you delete the science station, and replace it, it resets the quest and targets (or spawns, not sure) a new station. I just had this problem.

The issue, is that it picks or spawns a random station, and the station might have a broken terminal, which may require a circuit board.

Make sure you head over to the official website and submit a bug report. This is a major issue, but has a low chance of happening, so it needs more tickets to get attention.

I just had this problem.

What solved it for me is what sort of what Valkenr said above, just that I also had to move my base far away from the transmission tower it was selecting during the problem.

This just reset the mission, made me able to speak to the scientist again in my new base (note that it was still on the same planet, simply on the opposite side of it), and selected a new transmission tower for the mission in closer proximity to my new base.

Glad that I saw this thread as I am new to the game and found....

Built a base.
Hired an Overseer
Hired a weapons person
Hired a farmer
hired a scientist

Each seem to generate their own missions BUT...

The science person asked me to take a part from them and insert it into a terminal at a transmission tower - close to the base. Done and refitted. Then he carried on with their work.
Went back to him and he would only allow me to praise him or ignore but at the bottom right corner it said something about a circuit board. That would not change and so everything stopped with him. Haven't got a clue what the circuit board meant.
Reading this thread give me the hint to delete the terminal. I did that.
Then it generated a mission to go to an observatory and.....

In other words it is working again after deleting the terminal and that seemed to start the missions off where they should have continued.

I had this very problem and i have deleted the scientifical terminal. I rebuilded it and i have to help him again to get the printed circuit (practically the same point i was at before i deleted it) and there is now way i can do this.

How did you move the base? Did u first delete all the terminals one by one and then went somewhere else randomly and rebuilded all? (After save and exit)

No need to delete the worker terminals. First, fly away from base and setup a signal booster and search for new base. Then just dismantle anything pricey that your have built, since you will only get back 50% back in new base cache. Return to new base site and claim it. Build a new base and then the terminals. The NPC workers will re-materialize when you do.
