PSA: Please. Delete your old Shadercache and Rebuild it.
hi.

a simple Public Service Announcement for those not familiar with updates and usual practice.

it is well known that after a large update the absolute first course of action, is to delete your Shadercache and have the game rebuild the new or changed textures during game start. not doing so will rely on the game to "overwrite" the old, when re discovered or used, and in many cases. that won't happen. easiest solution, is to "force" it so. (more to it then that, but good enough, to get the point across)

target:

computer/c:/program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/nomanssky/GAMEDATA/

SHADERCACHE .. right clik delete.

it will take a little bit of time to reload the cache during restart, but should help decrease the likelyhood of graphic anomolies or graphic issues.

all the best.

it might also be a good idea to validate steam files once your update to client is complete. sometimes files can fragment or not dl properly.

hi.

maybe try this.. select game in library, right clik properties, set launch options, type in . "-high" without the quotation marks. save close .. restart. what this will do is set your NMS exe priority over anything else you may be running in the background.

aside from that.. you may have an overheat issue or a memory issue. but try the launch option first.

all the best.

I've cleared the cache twice. But the problem I'm having is that objects on planets are fully rendering even while in space, and it's causing my fps to bottom out. Pretty sure this is a bug with v1.3 and not something that I can fix on my end.

If its a 1.3 bug, then why doesnt everyone else have the issue?

You must be new to PC gaming. There are a nearly infinite number of hardware combinations that make up the PC platform. The reason not everyone has the FPS bug is because not everyone has the same hardware, or even runs on the same version of Windows.

Create a base on a planet in the same system and the icon will move to it once you activate the base - this is a known bug but they seem in no hurry to fix it.

Does this actually work or are you having a laugh?

Does this actually work? My only graphical issue is that my Multi-Tool keeps changing textures.

Y'all do realize you have dredged up a thread from almost a year ago to post on, right?
