To the "haters"

There are people who either don't own this game or have stopped playing it, but still come around these forums to bash it.

I am not looking for a confrontation, but can I just ask you why? What's the point?

I get it, you do not like the game. A lot of people don't, and there are justifiable reasons for taking that position. I like the game myself, but I would not at all call it a perfect game, and I freely acknowledge it has quite a bit to go before living up to its original hype.

But even granting that, what's the point of lingering on the forums to bash it? I have bought (and still own) several games that ended up being complete disappointments. The proper response IMO is simply to move on - you won't see me hanging on their respective forums to let the community know how extremely displeased I am with them.

So what are your reasons for doing so?

Because I like quality games. The current majority of the games comming out are terrible, and while I have no problem with people enjoying such games I will not sit by idle and watch those same ♥♥♥♥ titles be praised, or recommended to other players, especially a poorly made and garbage game as NMS.

And considering this is a public forum, thank god I can do so.

Apparently What attracts me and makes me tag something as 'quality' is different from YOU.

Though I'll bet you're a bit heavy on PVP games.
Pretty much everyone I see here disliking it is.

And no, you're not constrained from disliking them. You're totally allowed.
But there's a load of disliked and actually truly awful games out there.

No one here is claiming this is the greatest game around. It's niche. It has it's moments. Amazing art design. Yes it was over priced and over promised. But take up the fight against games that received critical success which are rather poor and watch the fanboys masturbate over their overrated game.

I know this will go unnoticed or acknowledged by almost everyone because this hub suffers from a severe case of the sheep herd mentality although I would be more inclined to say it's the fans that suffer the most from it based on the past but those who dislike this game also have succumbed to the sickness (o wah ah ah ah) so for those who would otherwise post if this wasn't read:

Horizonist is known for 'baiting haters' basically the tables have turned (ironically) those who cried wolf 3 or so months ago about 'trolling' are now the wolf AKA. the 'trolls' they demonized.

The blatant bias whoever moderates this hub for 'fans' couldn't be anymore clearer. This thread's intention is CLEARLY to cause drama and encourage/promote the petty bickering that no longer exists as it started dying down two months ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they were one of the few that moderated that reddit page until it was purged.

I had absolutely no such intention. The OP is genuine, and it is news to me that I'm here simply to bait haters (though I admit to doing so at times, for lulz).

I simply don't see what keeps this going. The release disaster was one thing, but it's been half a year. One would think people had moved on.

The same thing over and over, endless repetitions of "this game sucks" or "you're all mindless fanboys". Even the intelligent criticisms have by now been churned out ad nauseum to the point that we now have cutting and pasting of previous posts as there's nothing new for the critics to add.

I have a number of criticisms of NMS myself and have made them in this and other forums however, once made, why go on and on?

Really? Isn't there rather anything interesting in game you'd rather discuss?Also, nothing sets off alarm bells to a potencial new buyer/player like a 50+ thread on the main Steam discussion page about how many "haters" the game has.

I think HG PR hates these threads as well.

This game is a fantastic travel into the stars! This Game is Unic! It s more like an Experience than a normal game! pls stop bash this game so badly. its the first time a Procedural tech was use in this complex form! i hope for more game like this! Procedural is the Future of gaming!
